School Construction Program
This program is carried out to those school and community who need immediate construction in their area. We conduct the following works in this program:
School Building:
We are constructing the school building on need base analysis of the schools. We prioritize to the needy schools at first. At present we are doing the "Construction of School Building of Sirutar Secondary School" of Bhaktpur district with the help of the platform2 volunteers.
Students Learning Center:
There are many schools which have its buildings, toilets and other basic infrastructures but lack well-equipped and well-managed learning centers, even there is no peaceful environment and not such instruments to control the minor sounds.The schools which need the learning centers for their students to cater the learning environment are also taken into account. We are building the students learning center at Sisnery Higher Secondary School of Lamatar VDC, Lalitpur District with platform 2 volunteers.
School Toilet:
The schools which lack the toilet also create the problem to the students in the schools. There are some schools which do not have toilet at all, others lack separate toilets to the boy and girl students. The schools which have toilet are also mismanaged with the lack of proper water supply, proper drainage and proper cleanliness. So, our motto is not only to build school toilets but also to support them to manage it well. We are collecting the application from the needed schools.
Reconstruction and Maintenance
The schools places which do have their own buildings and spaces but not properly maintained and utilized, will also be assisted. For example: wall plastering, ground leveling, gardening, compounding, classroom decorating, water supply, etc. Currently, we are working with Shree Lower Secondary School of Chainpur VDC in Chitwan district. This school is 8km away from the famous Chitwan National Park. It has its own school building but it is not properly managed. Therefore, we are planning to work with the International Volunteers for wall plastering, ground leveling, gardening, class room decorating and water supply.
