Message from the Chair of Patron

We live in a globalizing world. It is therefore very natural that wider intercultural understanding and experience become not only feasible but also desirable and meaningful. In the recent past, Nepal has been a highly preferred destination for younger people from all over the world. At the receiving end, Nepali youths feel equally enthusiastic to welcome and join their hands together with the visiting youths, students, and volunteers in the spirit of service, friendship, camaraderie and collaboration to be a part of the process of making a democratic, just and free society. Ideal Friendship Nepal seeks to attain its goal of educating and creating awareness among the rural poor and the deprived population through the participation of visiting volunteers and their local counterparts to proceed toward the Millennium Development Goal (MDG) set by the Government of Nepal. This is an opportunity for the youths to gain knowledge and experience not usually provided within the classroom walls and in the pages of text books. We have been doing outbound Au-Pair program to send Nepalese young Au-Pairs to Europe and the USA. We invite all the interested host families to get very lovely Nepalese Au- Pairs.

Prof. Prem Kumar Khatry, PhD.

Message from the Chair of Chairman

Established in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, in 2004, Ideal Friendship-Nepal is a non-profit organization with its programs focused mainly on rural areas of Nepal. The international volunteer program designed by IDF-Nepal is a unique attempt to enhance intercultural understanding and practical exposure to the participants. Nepal today stands at the cross-road of change where the change process faces challenges of all types. We strongly feel that the participants in our volunteer program can play important role in the process through their contribution in the field of education, awareness, environmental protection and human rights at the grassroots level. I sincerely urge the interested youths and adults to participate in this program and play catalytic role in making the new Nepal, the country of Mt. Everest. Also I am thankful that our outbound Au-Pair program has been appreciated by both the Nepalese Au-Pairs and the host families within Europe and the USA. We are committed to deliver the best quality services in this area and execute it effectively and efficiently for everybody.

Bhagawan Kumar Karki.
