Eligibility to be an Au Pair

• Normally be between 18 and 26 years old. Netherland and Germany 18- 25 years old and the USA 18-26 years old. Age varies country to country
• Have some child care experience.
• Be a non-smoker and non-drug user. Some families will accept smokers.
• Speak basic conversational language ability of the destination country
• Be able to make 12 month commitment.

Required Documents

In order to process your application, we need the following:

• Application properly filled out.
• One passport size photo (smiling!)
• Two-Three photos with children (you with children)
• A “Dear Family” letter, in the language of your target country (or in English), stating who you are, why you want to go to your target country, your hobbies, interests, experience with children, etc.
• Two or three reference letters. At least one should be a child care reference.
• Medical Report
• Police Report
• Photocopy of your driver’s license
• Photocopies of any degrees, high school diploma or other qualifications such as first aid or childcare courses.
