Orientation / Training :

We do orientation for the volunteers for a few days in Kathmandu. The duration of the orientation depends on the length of their stay in Nepal. During the orientation, we provide them the information about Nepalese culture, language and security and saftey system. Besides this, we take them for one day sight seeing before we place them to the host family.

Accommodation & Food :

While in Kathmandu, volunteers will be staying for the first few days at a hotel/guest house. All the rooms will have hot-water showers, fans, some have TVs and mountain views, a telephone is available and there is a good restaurant where they will receive their breakfast and lunch depending on their availability. After their placement, the host family will provide them a room and Nepalese food. The program fee will cover the accommodation in Kathmandu and food and accommodation during their stay in the host family.

Program Duration :

Regular program duration: Minimum 2 to maximum 20 weeks. We are flexible in the program duration. It can also be organized as per their time length upon their request.

Flights & Transportation :

We provide local transportation like bus, taxi and rickshaw to and fro the host family and airport pick up and drop.The program fees do not cover the domestic and international flights. The volunteers have to arrange their flight to arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. They will be met outside the airport terminal by the representative of Ideal Friendship-Nepal, holding a placard with their names. We will then escort them to the hotel/guest house. They should provide their flight information as soon as possible so that a pick up can be assured.

Safety & Insurance :

All volunteers placement is organised by Ideal Friendship-Nepal giving them the confidence to work with reputable schools, orphanages, health centers and construction project location etc. 2: Our field staff provide 24 hour support. 3: During the orientation, they will be provided lots of information regarding the measures of safety.

Obtaining Visa :

People from almost countries can obtain 30-60 days on arrival visa at Tribhuvan International Aitport. They can extend it upto next 3 months in between January and December.They should be responsible for visa fee.
